  • hernesheir These are other halo effects caused by ice crystals in the atmosphere refracting sunlight: sun pillar, Parry arc, upper (and lower) tangent arc, circumhorizon(tal) arc, circumscribed halo, parhelic circle, circumzenithal arc. Quite a few more types have been described and photographed. Feb 2, 2010
