  1. Same as barrow-coat. [Prov. Eng.]
  2. In heraldry, divided into bars: said of the heraldic field. The number of divisions is always even and is always mentioned, as barry of four pieces, barry of six, etc.; if there are not less than eight divisions, the words barruly and barruletty may be employed. Also barred.
  3. Barry bendy divided into lozenges by the intersection of lines drawn barwise and bendwise. This is always supposed to be bendy dexter; when bendy sinister, it is written barry bendy sinister. Also bendy barry.
