chained_bear *still giggling over "served all dented"* Sep 26, 2008
reesetee *delayed GROOOAN* Sep 26, 2008
bilby C'mon gangerh, that's pasta joke. Sep 25, 2008
gangerh Either, either, 'tee, as long as they're served all dented. Sep 25, 2008
reesetee Well now, wait. Are they those big old radiators that are almost always painted silver? Or those modern compact ones that can be consumed in one bite? Sep 25, 2008
chained_bear Gangerh: ha ha! That mental image is priceless! Sep 25, 2008
gangerh I couldn't get through more than one radiator at a sitting. Sep 25, 2008
bilby Singular. Could anybody eat just one? Sep 25, 2008
chained_bear I think radiatore is already on the list. Sep 25, 2008
bilby Radiatori, shaped (predictably) like tiny radiators. Very cute! Sep 25, 2008
gangerh Come into this list. Donta Walka Pasta. Feb 5, 2008
misterpolly Add any one of the above and you go pasta hundred. Dec 23, 2007
colleen John, I'm thiefing some of these for my maccheroni list. there are so many I missed! Oct 18, 2007
chained_bear Couscous? That's actually pasta, though I think of it as a grain (probably because it's so teensy). Oct 18, 2007
yarb You forgot my least favourite kind of pasta - orzo. Great list.
Edit: no tortellini? Oct 18, 2007
reesetee You mean you're developing a subsession? Oct 17, 2007
john Thanks guys, added the suggestions. C_B, I think I'll do Italy first, then move on to Asia and beyond. This could be a very long list.
I pretty much agree with the sentiment that Wordie should be primarily text, but for this list, I'm tempted to dig up images of each kind of pasta. The shapes are so pleasing, and so varied.
Oh man, as if Wordie wasn't enough--I feel a new obsession coming on. Is that a problem, when you become obsessed with a subset of an existing obsession? Oct 17, 2007
chained_bear I love pappardelle! One of my favorite memories of Italy is papardelle con cinghiale. Bring it!
John, would you consider adding rice noodles, or cellophane noodles, soba, stuff like that? Don't know if you're focusing on Italian pasta names only, or what. Oct 17, 2007
reesetee Love this list! How about pastina--teeny little pasta stars? Or pappardelle, which is just fun to say. :-) Oct 17, 2007
arby True dat. *nods wisely*
Before there was Pennywise, there was the clown in Poltergeist. I'm scared just remembering it! Oct 17, 2007
john Thanks arby, added!
Nothing not to love about clown hats. Clowns themselves, though, are terrifying. Oct 17, 2007
arby Also I like lumachine (aka tiny snail shells) - it is so cute! Oct 17, 2007
arby How about cappelli di pagliaccio - aka clown hats? What's not to love about clown hats, I ask you.
(stumbled upon this while looking up creste di galli) Oct 17, 2007
