ruzuzu What a great list! Mar 8, 2012
bilby crap-cake. Dec 10, 2008
reesetee I will, I promise. As soon as you stop asking me to. ;-> Nov 27, 2007
uselessness Oh, good. Forget I ever said anything, then.
No really. Forget I ever said anything. Nov 27, 2007
reesetee Hey, thanks for the tip of the hat up there! And thanks also for not including smegma. Uselessness? Eeew. Nov 27, 2007
mollusque Thanks for all the comments! I'm collecting names for things that are byproducts with little or no value. "Scree" fits, but "smegma" and "lagan" don't. Smegma might be gross, but it has a biological function, like mucus or sweat. (I specifically excluded synonyms of excrement, which could be fertile grounds for another list, although dreck and feculence snuck onto this one.)
Lagan might fit on Valse's Leftovers , which includes things that might be of value. (Of course some of the things on my list might prove to be valuable as raw materials for producing biofuels.) Nov 27, 2007
bilby See also lagan. My understanding is that the olde English meaning of lagan included anything valuable that had sunk to the bottom of the sea and was therefore deemed to belong to the Crown. Nov 26, 2007
oroboros I don't see scree. That's a good one. Nov 26, 2007
uselessness Gross. Can I anonymously suggest smegma? I can't? Crap. Nov 26, 2007
chained_bear Yeah, really. Eeew! Cool list! Nov 26, 2007
reesetee What a great list! Who knew there were so many terms for dreck? :-) Nov 26, 2007
